- Chad is an extremely knowledgeable angler, having chased tarpon and bonefish on the flats to smallmouth bass, pike and everything else in between. Though he loves fly fishing in all it's forms, his true obsession is seeking the sleek, powerful and graceful ghost that is a steelhead with a two handed rod. Spending more than 320 days a year on the water, Chad is also a Pro Staff member for 3M/ Scientific Anglers, Patagonia and Ross Reels, in addition to Heritage Angling Products.
Bob has made fly fishing his livelihood for over 20 years. Instructing fly casting, fly fishing, and fly tying while working at all levels in the fly fishing industry. His passion for chasing all types of fish with a fly have taken him from Patagonia to Canada, Idaho to Maine and many places in between. Pan fish to 100+lb Tarpon, all are memorable Bob is a FFF certifed Master Casting Instructor pursuing his Two Handed Casting Instructor certification.
Bob has writen for magazines includtng Midwest Fly Fishing and Eastern Fly Fishing and co-authored, (with Carl Richards), Caddis Super Hatches.
His fly patterns and photography have appeared in many books including; Fly Patterns of the East, Prey, Backcountry Fly Fishing in Salt water, New England Hatch Guide, Selective Trout 11, Great Lakes Steelhead: a Guide Tour for Fly Anglers... Bob is the owner, and sole employee, of Off the Hook Tube Fly Products.
James Mcleod is a Michigan native, growing up on the east side of the state in Saginaw where he cut his teeth at the family cabin fishing Trout and Seelhead on the Ausable and Rifle Rivers. When at home in Saginaw he spent his time fishing Smallmouth Bass and Walleye in the Tittabawassee and Saginaw Rivers as well as Saginaw Bay. In 2002 after a few years of moving around the state, he moved to Grand Haven, Michigan where his nights were spents pounding sand, surf and pier chasing Salmon, Steelhead, Carp and Drum. These days he resides in Grand Rapids with his wife and two daughters. The Grand, Muskegon, and White have become his adopted "home rivers".
Peter Humphreys, born and raised in Cambridge, England, now lives in Rockford, Michigan and is a licensed river guide as well as FFF master casting instructor in both single hand and spey casting.Pete has fished all over the world including Norway, Scotland and many steelhead rivers in British Columbia. He is an expert spey caster and a popular teacher, and demonstrates casting at spey events in the midwest. An avid and innovative fly tier he specializes in tying Scandinavian style temple dogs which he loves to fish for steelhead on his home river, the mighty Muskegon in Newaygo co, Michigan. Pete is also on the Advisory Team for Sage, Rio and Redington.
Zack is a Michigan native who now calls Washington state home. He is owner and head guide of PNW Spey Guides, operating on Washington's Olympic Peninsula. Zack is also an active employee of the Gig Harbor Fly Shop in Gig Harbor, WA where he heads up the education program and guides for steelhead and sea-run cutthroat trout in the saltwater of Puget Sound. He loves teaching the sport of fly fishing and spey casting. Zack is also a member of the Scientific Anglers and Winston Rods prostaffs, although always better known because of his dog Pate.
